MSI Afterburner page on MSI's site (where you can learn more about Afterburner software): MSI Afterburner downloads on TECHSPOT (where you can download version 4.6.4 Beta 2 listed on the left): I'll provide a link to where you can download MSI Afterburner as well as a link to the MSI Afterburner page on MSI.com in case you want to learn more about it. I currently use MSI Afterburner 4.6.4 Beta 2, which I use to overclock my Asus Vivobook's mx250 gpu whenever I play any game. This software is completely free and can let someone overclock just about any GPU. Therefore, assuming that your issue is not that your gpu is thermal throttling (or hitting a high temperature and then decreasing performance accordingly) possibly due to poor cooling in you laptop, I would recommend that you get MSI Afterburner. My monitor setup is a Odyssey G7 1440p 240hz G-Sync enabled, and Alienware Aw2518h 1080p 120hz.As far as I can tell, your main bottleneck would be your GPU. Recently people ok the Asus forums started reporting this issue with idle power draw going above 50w triggering the fan stop.Įdit: For reference, mine is idling like this with a fresh install of windows with just the gpu drivers and amd chipset drivers with nvcp settings at default.Įdit 2: My card is a Strix 3090 Oc. Can you please post your idle power draw and monitor configuration ?Īre your fans spinning in idle at 1000 rpm ?
